Alumni Connections

Alumni Connections is a program established by the North Platte Foundation in an effort to stay in contact with former NPCC students. By staying in touch with NPCC Alumni, our Foundation is able to:

  • Foster friendships and associations formed while attending NPCC
  • Promote the mission, programs, and services of NPCC and the Foundation
  • Maintain an informed, interested, and engaged body of alumni who represent NPCC’s heritage, and who are actively involved in NPCC’s future success
  • Encourage interest in post-secondary education by emphasizing the quality and affordable educational experience offered at NPCC

Our Foundation is focused on establishing contact with NPCC students in an effort to: encourage alumni to reconnect to their NPCC experience; enjoy the benefits of staying in touch with what is happening at NPCC utilizing the MPCC and Foundation websites; receive invitations to return to campus for specific activities; and participate in the development of alumni/community activities and gatherings. We want to hear from NPCC Alumni --- so please share what is going on in your life—education, career, marriage, children, grandchildren, community involvement, etc. Most importantly, we need you to keep us advised of your current postal and e-mail addresses so that we can share an ongoing dialog with you regarding the current and future progress of NPCC and the students we all serve, as well as seek your input on the development of NPCC Alumni activities.

Our Foundation welcomes and encourages your involvement --- as an alumnus, community partner, and engaged advocate for the preservation of NPCC’s enduring heritage.

Alumni Testimonials

"By attending North Platte Community College, I received a great academic foundation. It gave me the advantage of smaller classes and individual instruction that larger colleges or universities can't compete with. My NPCC experience was very instrumental in shaping my long term educational path and goals."
Scott French, OD: Academic All-American and Class of 1989

"As the first homeschooled student to graduate from MPCC in North Platte, I will always be indebted to Mr. Babcock, Mrs. Ridenour, and Mrs. McGahan for seeing something in me worth cultivating. The rest of my instructors took a genuine interest in me while pushing me to excel. I'm proud to say that the education I received while I was there set an excellent foundation for the rest of my learning experiences. Whether working for a judge in Washington D.C., serving as an attorney, or teaching classes at Purdue University, the skills and education I received at MPCC have served me well."
Cara C. (Catlett) Putman: Class of 1992

"The education that I received at North Platte Community College is the cornerstone of my business and finance knowledge and career. NPCC provided me not only with a basic understanding of business but a deeper knowledge of the fundamental principles of business. My experience at NPCC encouraged me to move on to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Business as well as some post-graduate work. The outstanding professors and teachers at NPCC were among the best that I encountered in my entire education. I believe that I learned more from Dr. Deeds, now retired accounting instructor at NPCC, than I did from any other professor that I encountered in my college career. I'm proud to be a graduate of North Platte Community College."
Anthony E. Altig, CPA: Class of 1980
